In the dark of night,
In a secret place,
Unfitting of a King;
Love came down,
Hope came home
Held in the arms of a teen.
He left His throne,
To be unrecognized by most,
Fully human
Yet somehow
Completely God.
He came to heal the sick
And save the lost;
His unfettered love
Sets captives free.
And so Heaven came to earth,
He dwelt among us;That baby in a manger
Became my Savior
On a tree.
